Benedict Hills Estates is located in Beverly Hills Post Office, south of Mulholland Drive and east of Benedict Canyon. The main thoroughfare of the community is Deep Canyon Drive, with Hutton Drive providing secondary access. Roughly two thirds of the homes in the community are situated on quiet cul-de-sacs.

The majority of Benedict Hills Estates homes were built in the late 1970s and early 1980s. New construction continued at a slower pace throughout the rest of the decades. Lot sizes are generous, over 90% of properties have a swimming pool and approximately two dozen also feature tennis courts.

Community interests are overseen by the Benedict Hills Estates Homeowners Association (BHEA). Dues are collected quarterly and cover the cost of common landscaping and a 24/7 security patrol.
